With all the requisite dynamic tones and long shadows that you would come to expect when taking in the rugged landscape of Corsica as the sun begins to set, filling the sky with hazy purple hues.

Born in Margate in 1960, he studied at the Canterbury College of Art before graduating in Fine Art from the West Surrey College of Art and Design in 1981. A widely travelled artist, he is celebrated for his Kenyan subjects as well as landscapes painted across Cyprus, Italy, Spain, and France.
Gregory Alexander RWS has exhibited extensively in London, received a prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation bursary in 1984, and became a full member of the Royal Watercolour Society (RWS) in 1987. He has shown at the Royal Academy (1982, 83 & 85), held multiple solo exhibitions at the Catto Gallery, and even co-authored a respected book on watercolour painting with his brother Matthew.
