Elegantly framed and ready to hang – a beautiful piece of British cartographic history.

Robert Morden (c.1650–1703) was a prominent English cartographer, publisher, and map engraver active during the late 17th century. He is best known for his detailed county maps of England and Wales, first published in William Camden’s Britannia (1695 edition). Morden’s maps were notable for their decorative style, inclusion of town plans, and early use of longitude and latitude. He operated out of London and produced a wide range of geographical works, including globes and educational atlases, contributing significantly to the popularization of cartography in the early modern period.
